Aaron Rodgers Jokingly Reacts to 1st Win with Jets, Says it's 'Technically My 2nd'
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers jokingly discussed his first win with the team, defeating the Tennessee Titans by the final score of 24-17 on Sunday.
"Technically my second," Rodgers told reporters after the game. "We all know that. Somehow that first one counts, four important plays."
"It feels great," he added. "Been a long time coming."

Rodgers was limited to just one drive in his 2023 debut, suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in New York's Week 1 matchup with the Buffalo Bills.
The 40-year-old wrapped up an impressive performance against a Titans secondary that held Chicago Bears rookie Caleb Williams to just 93 passing yards in Week 1. Rodgers finished 18-of-30 for 176 yards and two touchdowns, getting sacked twice.
With the score tied at 17 and just under nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, he led the Jets on a 74-yard drive that resulted in a 20-yard touchdown run by Braelon Allen.
New York's defense was able to stop Tennessee in the red zone on the ensuing possession, securing the win.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh praised Rodgers' poise down the stretch of the game.
"His presence, his ability at the line of scrimmage, his confidence in the huddle, his confidence on the sideline, the guy's a first-ballot Hall of Famer and has had production in this league for a very long time," Saleh told reporters. "He's seen everything, and to have a presence like that in the huddle for a lot of guys who haven't seen everything is pretty cool."
Rodgers was traded to the Jets in a blockbuster deal with the Green Bay Packers in April 2023, arriving with high expectations as he looked to lead a team that owns the NFL's longest active playoff drought.
Although the four-time MVP appeared to be a bit rusty in New York's season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, he looked and admittedly felt great as the Jets won their first game of the year.
