After injuring his knee during the Green Bay Packers' Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil, quarterback Jordan Love returned to practice Wednesday.

ESPN's Rob Demovsky posted video of Love taking part in some drills at practice with a sleeve on his leg:

Love suffered a sprained MCL on one of the final plays of the Packers' season-opening loss to the Eagles. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported ahead of the team's Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts that the starting quarterback was targeting a return for the Week 5 contest against the Los Angeles Rams, but such a quick return to practice suggests he could be ahead of schedule.

Love did not play in Week 2, but the Packers still managed to defeat the Indianapolis Colts 16-10 with Malik Willis starting at quarterback.

The 2023 campaign was Love's first as a full-time starter, and he responded by leading the team to the playoffs and throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

He looked like yet another franchise quarterback for the Packers following long and successful stretches for Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.

Love largely played well in the loss to Philadelphia as well, throwing for 260 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

He did so while equipped with a new contract, as the Packers signed him to a four-year, $220 million extension in July.

While Love's return to practice suggests there is at least some chance he plays in Week 3, Willis figures to start Sunday against the Tennessee Titans if Love is not cleared.
