Being seen together in public isn't exactly going to do much to dispel the dating rumors surrounding Las Vegas aces star A'ja Wilson and Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo.

That is exactly what happened in downtown Indianapolis on Thursday, though, as TMZ Sports noted. The two Olympic gold medalists were seen walking together in the city where the Aces were visiting for back-to-back games against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Wednesday and Friday.

"This just adds more buzz to the dating rumors that sparked right before the 2024 Paris Olympics, when they were spotted together in Las Vegas at Team USA's training camp," TMZ wrote.

Perhaps the most notable moment involving the rumors came when Miami-Dade County mayor Daniella Levine Cava was presenting Adebayo and other local Olympians with the key to the city.

Wilson was in attendance, and the mayor said, "She won gold in women's basketball. I guess that has something to do with Bam and the Heat, huh? Being here today?"

That drew some social-media reactions from both players:

Even the Aces may have gotten in on the fun with the word "Bam!" in their post celebrating Wilson setting the record for the most points in a single WNBA season:

Wilson set the record during Wednesday's game against the Fever. She entered the contest needing just 11 points to break Seattle Storm star Jewell Loyd's record of 939 and cleared it with ease with 27 points and 12 rebounds during the 86-75 victory.

It was yet another incredible performance for the two-time MVP and six-time All-Star, who is cruising to the third MVP award of her illustrious career at just 28 years old. Wilson is averaging 27.0 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from deep.

The Heat surely wouldn't mind if her rumored boyfriend put up numbers like that during the upcoming NBA season.
