Malik Nabers' Knee Injury Downplayed by Giants' Brian Daboll: 'No Concern' for Week 2
The New York Giants don't have much to feel good about early in the season following their blowout loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, but they can at least take solace knowing it appears wide receiver Malik Nabers will be ready to take the field for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders.
Head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Friday the receiver is "good" and has "no concern" about his knee injury.
That will clear the way for him to play in the divisional matchup.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Nabers' status came into question after it was revealed Thursday he was limited at practice because of his knee. But it seems like there are no long-term concerns, which is welcome news for a team attempting to bounce back from a 28-6 loss in the opener.
The LSU product had five catches for a team-high 66 yards in that loss.
He was something of a bright spot in an otherwise ugly performance from the offense. The Giants managed just 3.5 yards per carry in the rushing attack while quarterback Daniel Jones went 22-of-42 for 186 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions.
One of those interceptions was returned for a touchdown by Andrew Van Ginkel.
The Giants are in rebuilding mode, which was evident in Week 1. Nabers figures to be an important long-term building block in that process after they selected him with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
He was a consensus All-American in his final season at LSU with 89 catches for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns. It was his second straight season with more than 1,000 receiving yards, which cemented his status as a highly regarded prospect.
It may take him some time to reach 1,000 yards in the NFL given the quarterback play in New York, but he will look to build on his solid debut with his first divisional game on Sunday.
