Jaguars to Rename Stadium After Trevor Lawrence for Browns Game as Part of Promotion
Trevor Lawrence's $275 million extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars apparently came with some additional benefits, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco.
The franchise is temporarily changing the name of its stadium from EverBank Stadium to TrEverBank Stadium to celebrate its starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.
"I don't like having too much of the spotlight with stuff like that, but I think it was clever," Lawrence said. "They have the naming rights for the stadium, so it's a good play on words, and I was fine with it."

Re-Drafting Every Team's Worst Draft Pick of the Century 😡
In addition to his name sounding similar to the financial services company, Lawrence became a brand ambassador for EverBank in August.
The NFL passed a rule last summer that prohibits players from acquiring an ownership stake in a team. It seems there aren't any guidelines against putting a player's name on his home stadium.
Lawrence is in his fourth season with Jacksonville, which selected him first overall in the 2021 NFL draft. He's already fourth in Jaguars history in passing yards (11,932) and touchdown passes (59).
