Eagles' Saquon Barkley Gets Madden NFL 25 Ratings Boost After 3 TD Game vs. Packers
After racking up 132 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns in a 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers, Saquon Barkley got a boost in his Madden 25 ratings.
EA Sports announced on Wednesday that the Philadelphia Eagles star received a one-point boost in awareness (94 to 95), ball carrier vision (83 to 84), juke move (92 to 93) and overall rating (92 to 93).

The Eagles broke from their modus operandi during the offseason by spending significant money to sign Barkley as a free agent. He received a three-year, $37.8 million deal from Philadelphia after spending his first six seasons playing for the New York Giants.
Per Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Eagles went six seasons from 2018 to '23 without having a running back who ranked among the 25 highest-paid players at the position and had the second-lowest cap allocations ($29.3 million) at the position during that span.
Barkley's deal ranks fourth among all running backs in average annual salary, fourth in percentage of the salary cap and fifth in total value.
Even though it's only one game, the results on the field make it look like a brilliant move from Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. Barkley carried the ball 24 times for 109 yards and two scores. He caught two passes for 23 yards and another touchdown.
Barkley became the first Eagles player to score at least three touchdowns in his debut with the team since Terrell Owens in 2004. The last Eagles player with two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown was Jordan Howard in 2019.
The Eagles didn't have a running back surpass the 100-yard mark after Week 3 last season. D'Andre Swift did it in back-to-back games against the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
If the Eagles can get anything close to his level of performance from Barkley on a week-to-week basis, their offense will be one of the best units in the NFL this season. He more than earned his ratings upgrade after a stellar Week 1 showing.
