NFL Exec Hypes Xavier Worthy: Ravens' Reaction Was 'F--k, Now What Do We Do?' With WR
Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy touched the ball just three times in Thursday's win against the Baltimore Ravens, but that was enough to impress many around the NFL.
Worthy scored a 21-yard touchdown on a reverse and caught two passes for 47 yards and another score. Per The Athletic's Mike Sando, the rookie's explosiveness had Ravens defenders on their heels.
"When that kid ran that reverse, everybody [on the Ravens' defense] is all of a sudden, 'F--k, now what do we do?'" an evaluator from another team said. "The answer is, we don't do anything. We can't react as quick because we're afraid he's going to reverse field."

The Chiefs traded up to the 28th pick in the 2024 draft to select Worthy. The former Texas standout turned some heads in the lead-up to the draft when he ran a 4.21 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine, breaking the record of 4.22 set by John Ross in 2017.
Worthy has the potential to develop into the go-to target for Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The 21-year-old will play a key role in trying to help Kansas City achieve the first three-peat in NFL history.
Worthy will get another chance to show his skills when the Chiefs return to action on Sunday at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
