Miami Dolphins star wideout Tyreek Hill was detained following a traffic stop ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, though he was ultimately cleared to play.
He made his usual impact, which included an 80-yard touchdown reception. After that long score, Hill celebrated by putting his hands behind his back as though he was being handcuffed, and Jaylen Waddle ran over with the "key" to finish the celly.

Hill posted the following after the game, a win for Miami:
In a statement released before the game, the Dolphins noted that Hill "was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police. He has since been released. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support. Tyreek and all other players involved have safely arrived to the stadium and will be available for today's game."
Miami-Dade Police Department director, Stephanie V. Daniels, said the matter was being internally reviewed and later announced that one of the officers involved was being placed on administrative leave:
It was a bizarre situation before Miami's opening game of the 2024 season, and it didn't take long for Hill to devise a celebration that seemed to directly reference and mock it.
