Jackson now trails Cam Newton and Michael Vick in the all-time rankings. Jackson had 5,321 yards after beating Wilson. Newton has 5,628 career rushing yards while Vick leads the category with 6,109 yards.
With Newton and Vick being retired, Jackson is in good position to claim the top spot in the near future. He needs less than 800 yards to achieve this and his track record suggests that could happen this season.
Jackson has not had less than 700 rushing yards in a season since his rookie year and has recorded two 1,000 yard seasons. His 2023 MVP season saw him rush for 821 yards, which led the Ravens.
The presence of Derrick Henry in the backfield should lighten Jackson's rushing load a bit, but he still will have a major role in the ground game. As long as he is a threat, the record will inevitably become his.
