The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they will wear helmet decals that honor the memories of wide receiver Jacoby Jones and offensive line coach Joe D'Alessandris.

Both Jones and D'Alessandris died during the 2024 offseason.

"Hopefully those helmet tags of Jacoby Jones and Joe D'Alessandris help to serve as a reminder to all of us that it's about the people," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said in the video. "It's about the people in your life that you share this time on earth with. Treat them right, cherish them, celebrate them, love them and remember them."

Jones died in his sleep on July 14, just three days after his 40th birthday. A medical examiner listed his cause of death as hypertensive cardiovascular disease, which is heart disease caused by long-term high blood pressure.

Jones was a member of Baltimore's Super Bowl-winning team in the 2012 season. On the opening kickoff of the second half of Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers, he returned the ball 108 yards for a touchdown, marking the longest play in Super Bowl history. After his playing career, he transitioned to coaching, most recently serving as wide receivers coach at Alabama State.

D'Alessandris served as Ravens offensive line coach since 2017. He died on Aug. 25 at the age of 70 after suffering from an illness caused by a complication from a surgery performed earlier in the summer.
