Texans' Stefon Diggs: C.J. Stroud 'Know He the One,' Has NFL MVP Potential in 2024
It hasn't taken star receiver Stefon Diggs too long to be impressed with second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Diggs, who was acquired by the Houston Texans in a trade with the Buffalo Bills this offseason, told Clay Skipper of GQ Sports that he believes Stroud has the potential to be the best player in the league.
"He know he the one," Diggs said. "He's one of those kids that can be the MVP, and I'm saying that wholeheartedly. I don't gas."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Stroud, the No. 2 pick in the 2023 draft, burst onto the scene as a rookie and immediately established himself as one of the most promising young players in the NFL. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year after throwing for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions.
The 22-year-old also helped the Texans win the AFC South and defeat the Cleveland Browns in the AFC Wild Card Round, becoming the youngest quarterback to win a playoff game in league history.
With Diggs on the outside, Stroud has a proven No. 1 option who can be the focal point of Houston's passing attack. The Texans have enough talent to contend for a spot in the Super Bowl, so the connection between Diggs and Stroud will be paramount to their success.
Houston will begin its quest for greatness when it opens the season on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
