Fantasy NFL Rumors: Cardinals Offense with OC, Kyler Draws 'Rave Reviews' from Rivals

Timothy RappSep 2, 2024

The Arizona Cardinals may make some noise in the 2024 NFL season.

According to The Athletic's Jeff Howe, "Offensive coordinator Drew Petzing's scheme has drawn rave reviews around the league, and there's widespread belief he'll draw head coaching interviews after the season. Rival executives are also impressed by general manager Monti Ossenfort's roster reconstruction in a very short amount of time. The Cardinals' ceiling may be limited by a brutally difficult division, but they're absolutely on the rise."

Much of the team's success will hinge on whether Kyler Murray can stay healthy and put together a big season. The dynamic but diminutive quarterback remains one of the most explosive players in football once he breaks the pocket, and he has solid playmakers around him in rookie wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. and breakout tight end Trey McBride, among others.

Nobody expects the Cardinals to be a playoff team this season. But Murray, Harrison and McBride in particular may all be excellent fantasy additions this year.
