Head coach Steve Sarkisian continues to knock recruiting out of the park after Texas landed 5-star wide receiver prospect Jaime Ffrench on Friday.

Ffrench told Hayes Fawcett of On3.com he was committing to the Longhorns after also considering offers from LSU, Miami and Tennessee.

Ffrench's two older brothers, Maurice Ffrench and James Tarver, previously played college football at the FBS level. Maurice Ffrench was primarily a wide receiver at Pittsburgh from 2016 to 2019, but he also got some run as a defensive back.

Maurice set a new Pitt single-season record with 96 receptions in 2019, breaking the previous mark of 92 catches set by Larry Fitzgerald in 2003. He spent time on the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad in 2020 and appeared in three games for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021.

Tarver played 10 games at Central Florida during the 2019 season, recording four total tackles.

Ffrench's commitment comes six days after Jonah Williams, the top-ranked safety prospect in the 2025 class, pledged to play for Texas.

The addition of Ffrench to the class gives the Longhorns 19 incoming commitments next year. They now have three 5-star players including Ffrench, Williams and wide receiver Kaliq Lockett.

Ffrench is the fourth-ranked wide receiver and No. 19 overall player in the 2025 class, per 247Sports' composite rankings. The Jacksonville native had 62 receptions for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns last year as a junior at Mandarin High School.

In Mandarin's 2024 season opener in Aug. 23, Ffrench had 116 yards on four receptions in a 57-13 win over Creekside.

Texas currently has the No. 7 recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports.
