Fantasy Football 2024 Positional Rankings Printable Cheat Sheet and Top ADP Values

Zach BuckleyAug 29, 2024

NFL teams are lining up at the starting gate in preparation of the 2024 season's opening kick.

Fantasy football managers are also finalizing their plans ahead of what will hopefully be a triumph-filled joy ride.

Championship chances will soon be greatly impacted by fantasy drafts. You maybe can't win a league title during your talent grab—you still need good fortune and a season full of smart roster management—but you can up your odds by selecting players who outperform their draft position.

That will be our focus here, as we're following our positional rankings by spotlighting a pair of players who appear primed to deliver more value than their average draft position (ADP) would suggest.

Printable cheat sheets for various fantasy formats are available at ESPN.com.

While top-shelf quarterbacks can pile up the passing production, the top performers in fantasy are typically the ones who can also make things happen with their legs.

Commanders rookie signal-caller Jayden Daniels should immediately rank favorably among the most dynamic ball-carriers at the position.

After transferring from Arizona State to LSU ahead of the 2022 season, Daniels promptly posted some eye-popping stats on the ground. He handled 321 carries over the past two campaigns and converted them into 2,019 rushing yards and 21 scores. And that goes along with the 6,725 yards and 57 touchdowns he tallied as a passer.

He won't have the same advantages with playmakers around him in Washington, but that could make the Commanders lean even heavier on his running ability. Washington lacks explosion with a lot of its skill spots, but Daniels could provide a good amount of electricity on his own. If he runs like we think he can, he should land comfortably within the position's top 10 and could push for the top five, which potentially makes his ADP (104th overall, 12th at quarterback, per FantasyPros) one of draft season's biggest values.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams

There's an argument for exercising some caution when it comes to Cooper Kupp. After all, he's a 31-year-old coming off two injury-riddled seasons, the latter of which also witnessed the dawning of a possible new go-to receiver in L.A. in Puka Nacua, who broke the league's rookie records for catches and receiving yards.

With an ADP of just 34th overall and 17th at the position, though, folks may have taken the cautious approach too far. He is being discounted for his downside, yet there's no real recognition of his upside.

The last time he was healthy (2021), he was the NFL leader in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and touchdown catches (16). He was also the top fantasy scorer at receiver and the 13th-most productive player overall.

Granted, Nacua wasn't around then, but Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and coach Sean McVay both were. Conditions weren't that different for Kupp, in other words, and they propped him up to an all-caps ELITE level. With Kupp looking healthy and Nacua now fighting a knee injury, the stage could be set for Kupp's return to glory.
