Shams Charania to Appear in NBA 2K25; Insider Role Previewed in New Video

NBA insider Shams Charania is the latest media personality to earn a role in a video game, as it was announced on Tuesday that he will be featured in the upcoming NBA 2K25.

"You're gonna see me with Kevin Harlan, I'll have trade reports, you might come across me in MyCareer. I'm really excited to see you guys in 2K25," Charania said in a trailer revealing his role.

Charania's profile has risen over the past few years to where he is one of the most respected sources in all of sports media. He recently exited Stadium after six years at the outlet, and Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post noted that his contracts with The Athletic and FanDuel TV "are also coming up."

If Charania becomes a free agent, he's likely to be pursued by NBC and Amazon's Prime Video, both of which secured the media rights to the NBA beginning in 2025.

Fans who pre-order NBA 2K25 will get their first look at Charnia in the game on Sept. 4. The game will officially be released on Sept. 6.
