NFL Coach: Packers' Love Will Be Tier 1, 'F--k,' QB Had Perfect Rating vs. Cowboys

After a tremendous first season as the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback, Jordan Love is drawing rave reviews from opposing NFL coaches.

Per The Athletic's Mike Sando, one coach said that Love is on his way to being a Tier 1 quarterback after what he showed last year.

"He is a 2 going to a 1," the offensive play caller said. "F--k, he had a perfect goddamn passer rating in the playoff game (against Dallas). He can make all the throws, he's composed. Very impressed."

In 2023, Love started all 17 games for Green Bay, throwing for 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He led the Packers to the divisional round in the playoffs, where they fell just short of knocking off the San Francisco 49ers to advance to the NFC Championship game.

In Green Bay's wild-card game against the Dallas Cowboys, Love had 272 passing yards and three touchdowns. As the coach mentioned, he had a near-perfect 99.3 quarterback rating in the win.

Love is seemingly on his way to being one of the top quarterbacks in the league, and the Packers paid him like one this offseason. He landed a four-year, $220 million extension in July, which ties him with Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence as the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.

Now he'll look to prove he's worth that contract with a strong second year as Green Bay's starter.
