Plenty of the bands on the list, including The Killers, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Green Day and Blink-182, were quite popular during Cousins' formative years. They also have plenty of songs that still sound excellent today, so there is no shame in this playlist at all even if it does inspire some jokes on social media.
In a perfect world for the Falcons, Cousins' age-36 season will include no shortage of good music and good performances on the field.
They signed him to a four-year deal this offseason with the hope of capitalizing on a win-now window with playmakers such as Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Kyle Pitts, and he will have his first opportunity to make a positive impression during the regular season on Sept. 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If he leads the Falcons to a win, a postgame celebration would be the perfect time to break out the playlist once again.
