Each year, NFL Network's Rich Eisen runs the 40-yard dash to conclude the channel's coverage of the NFL Scouting Combine. On Saturday, ESPN reporter Adam Schefter challenged him in the race and beat him by the narrowest of margins.

Eisen's best time came in 2016, when he finished in 5.94 seconds. This past year, he ran a 6.22, so Schefter's winning run on Saturday likely fell right around the 6-second mark.

For context, the slowest time at the NFL Scouting Combine this season was 5.64 seconds, posted by Kentucky offensive lineman Jeremy Flax, who measures in at 6'5" and 343 pounds. He went on to sign with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent.

All jokes aside, Eisen runs the race for the #RunRichRun campaign, which raises money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an excellent cause. He was no match for the blazing speed of Schefter, however.
