A'ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese NBA 2K25 Ratings & 'W' Mode Features Revealed

A'ja Wilson is a two-time gold medalist, two-time WNBA champion, two-time WNBA MVP and six-time All-Star with a statue of herself at the University of South Carolina.

It's only fitting, then, that she became the first player in WNBA history to earn a 99 overall rating in NBA 2K.

That is exactly what happened Thursday, as 2K Sports revealed the Las Vegas Aces star will be the highest-rated WNBA player in 2K history with a 99 overall in NBA2K25. She isn't the only headline player setting the bar this season, as Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky are the highest-rated rookies ever at 90 overall.

Those ratings are subject to change, though, ahead of the game's release on Sept. 4 since the WNBA season is still ongoing.

But it's hard to see Wilson's rating changing.

After all, she is well on her way to a third career MVP while averaging 27.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 52.2 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from three-point range. Her Aces are going for a third straight championship, which would only further solidify her case as one of the greatest players in league history.

Gamers will have the chance to solidify their own case as the WNBA GOAT when NBA2K25 is released, as one of the changes in this year's game is a Pursuit of Greatness story mode.

Players will be part of the headline 2024 WNBA rookie class alongside Clark and Reese and gradually build their resumes with individual accolades and championships. As they do, they will see visuals that chart where they are on the GOAT list and which players they are still chasing.

There will also be press conferences available for WNBA players for the first time, which will be available as players stack up their list of accomplishments and move up that GOAT list.

Online mode will also look different, as 2K Sports announced Thursday that W Online will feature a new outdoor court in a forest grove and the opportunity to compete in 3v3 multiplayer games as players chase weekly community goals.

The W Online mode will also have a mentorship feature where players can take others who have not yet reached Game Changer status under their wing and mentor them while earning rewards if the mentees complete various challenges.

NBA2K25 with its new WNBA modes and player rankings will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
