Wanda Durant Jokes Kevin, Steph Curry 'Would've Had 20 Rings by Now' with Warriors
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were paired together for three seasons on the Golden State Warriors, winning two titles in that time and reaching the NBA Finals in all three campaigns.
And Durant's mother, Wanda Durant, believes the pair would have won far more titles had they remained a duo, as she said on TV One's Raising Fame:
It's fair to wonder just how many titles a core of Curry, Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green may have won together. That core group would have likely had at least three titles together if it weren't for injuries to Durant and Thompson in the 2018-19 campaign.

In 2016-17, that grouping went 67-15 during the regular season and lost just one game in the entirety of the playoffs, making them one of the most dominant teams in NBA history.
The next season the Dubs went 58-24 and 16-5 in the postseason, making it back-to-back titles.
In Durant's final season, the team won 57 games in the regular season but lost in the NBA Finals in six games to the Toronto Raptors, depleted by injuries.
Durant's departure to Brooklyn alongside Kyrie Irving the following summer certainly didn't live up to the hype. In parts of four seasons together, the duo won exactly one playoff series and eventually forced trades to the Phoenix Suns for Durant and Dallas Mavericks for Irving.
In Phoenix, Durant has won just one playoff series.
Curry and the Warriors had a bit more success, winning the title in the 2021-22 season. It was the fourth title for the trio of Curry, Thompson and Green. Thompson's departure for the Mavericks this offseason, however, felt like the spiritual end to that era of Warriors basketball.
Perhaps a future reunion between Curry and Durant at the NBA level is possible. They had one of sorts this summer, as both played major roles for the Team USA men's basketball team at the Paris Olympics as it claimed a fifth straight gold medal.
