Video: Ricochet Debuts in AEW at All In 2024 in Casino Gauntlet Match After WWE Exit

After spending the past six years in WWE, Ricochet made his AEW debut Sunday at All In at London's Wembley Stadium.

The aerial specialist was a surprise entrant in the Casino Gauntlet match.

He was unable to earn the world title shot afforded to the winner, with Christian Cage instead claiming the opportunity in a victory.

The superstar had a simple post after the match:

Ricochet first made a name for himself in numerous promotions across the world, including New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Lucha Underground, PWG and Dragon Gate, and it was during that time that he interacted with several current AEW stars.

During his six-year run in WWE, Ricochet maintained his status as one of the top high flyers in pro wrestling and won several titles, including the Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship and NXT North American Championship.

Ricochet was the inaugural WWE Speed champion as well, but when he dropped the title to Andrade in June, reports surfaced that he was perhaps on his way out of the company.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported in July that Ricochet's WWE contract expired on July 1, and the expectation within the wrestling industry was that he would be making the move to AEW.

Ricochet was written off WWE programming on the June 10 episode of Raw after he saved Ilja Dragunov from an attack at the hands of Bron Breakker.

Breakker found Ricochet backstage, threw him into the side of a truck and slammed him through the windshield of a vehicle, resulting in him exiting the venue in an ambulance.

With Ricochet's WWE tenure coming to an end, AEW felt like a natural fit for him due to his in-ring style and his experience working with some of AEW's biggest names, including Will Ospreay, The Young Bucks, Adam Cole and a host of others.

Ricochet never quite reached main event status in WWE, but based on the emphasis AEW places on in-ring work, he may be able to ascend to the next level in his new promotion.
