Arkansas Football Appears to Troll Shedeur Sanders, Colorado with 'Darts Only' Video
The University of Arkansas football team's X account appeared to troll the University of Colorado on Wednesday by parodying a viral video.
On Tuesday, Colorado posted a video of quarterback Shedeur Sanders connecting with wide receiver LaJohntay Wester for a touchdown in practice, but many questioned if the social media team had actually spliced two different videos together:
That led to Arkansas jokingly posting a video of its own Wednesday with the same "darts only" caption. However, the Razorbacks' account couldn't have made it any more obvious that it combined two different videos into one:
Colorado football's social media account answered Arkansas and the critics Wednesday by posting two videos side by side that seemed to confirm that the first video posted Tuesday was legitimate:
Perhaps no team in college football has been under the microscope more than Colorado since the start of last season.
The Buffaloes had a ton of hype surrounding them due to the arrival of Deion Sanders as head coach, as well as his superstar son at quarterback and two-way standout Travis Hunter.
While the 2023 campaign started out perfectly for Colorado to the tune of a 3-0 start, including wins over TCU and Nebraska, the Buffs went on to lose eight of the final nine games, finishing 4-8.
That gave Colorado's detractors plenty of ammo, but expectations remain high entering the 2024 season since Sanders will finally bring the first recruiting class that is entirely his own to Boulder.
Shedeur Sanders, Hunter and several other players who debuted for Colorado last season should be more comfortable as well, which could make the Buffaloes a threat to reach a bowl game for the first time since 2020.
By comparison, Arkansas is also coming off a 4-8 season, although the Razorbacks played in bowl games in both 2021 and 2022.
Despite the fact that Colorado and Arkansas are both major programs that have enjoyed a great deal of success in the past, they have never faced each other in football.
They aren't scheduled to play each other in 2024 either, so they won't be able to solve their social media beef on the field unless they are fortuitous enough to both make bowl games and get pitted against each other.
