Little League World Series Regionals 2024: Sunday Scores and Bracket Results

Regional action for the Little League World Series continued once again on Sunday.

Nine regions were in action, most continuing their tournaments from previous days while the West Region began play. Some teams saw the journey to Williamsport fall short while others inched closer to to reaching the goal.

Here's a look at the scores for Sunday.

Kansas 6, Nebraska 5

It wasn't the prettiest offensive output for Kansas but the team got just enough to edge Nebraska and stay alive in the Midwest Region.

Kansas managed just three hits and allowed 10 hits and made three errors in the game. Despite this, the team drew nine walks and used some timely and clutch hitting in order to take the victory.

Nebraska's run is over while Kansas will shift focus to Minnesota, who fell 12-0 to South Dakota earlier in the day.

Georgia 17, Alabama 2

Georgia got some revenge over Alabama for the 2023 SEC Championship.

With Kirby Smart's son Andrew in the lineup, Georgia strung 10 hits and 17 runs together in three innings to eliminate Alabama and advance to the championship of the Loser's bracket.

Smart had two singles, two runs scored and an RBI while A.J Dunn had two hits and five RBIs. Georgia now awaits the loser of Florida and Tennessee to secure a chance at reaching Williamsport.

Utah 19, Wyoming 5

Dixie Little League in Utah had quite the offensive output in order to reach the semifinals of the winner's bracket.

Utah scored seven runs in the top of the first and appeared poised to run away with the game. However, Wyoming was able to get four runs across in the bottom of the inning and it looked like it would be a slugfest.

Utah would continue the offensive burst, scoring two in the second, three in the fourth and seven in the fifth. Wyoming, however, only mustered one more run and would fall in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule.

Utah advances to face the winner of Montana and Colorado while Wyoming will fight to stay alive against Nevada.
