The United States women's basketball team cruised to first place in Group C with a blowout win over Germany.

Germany held the lead after the first quarter, but the American depth in talent took over in the final three frames.

Jackie Young came off the bench to lead Team USA in scoring with 19 points. A'ja Wilson contributed 14 points and Breanna Stewart added 13 points.

The Americans are guaranteed to be a top-two seed in the knockout round, but their status as the top seed is dependent on France's result later on Sunday. Team USA is ahead by 16 on point differential over the host nation.
