Simone Biles captured her seventh Olympic gold medal and second vault title in one of Saturday's marquee events.
Biles produced an average score of 15.3 on two attempts on the vault to easily clear the rest of the field.
Biles' win was her second individual and third overall victory at the Paris Games. She was already a champion in the team event and in the all-around.
Her Team USA teammate Jade Carey earned the bronze-medal position on the final vault of the competition.
Brazil's Rebece Andrade added a silver medal to her illustrious Olympic resume that now stands at five overall medals.
Vincent Hancock Leads Team USA 1-2 in Skeet Shooting
3 of 3
Vincent Hancock won his fourth-career Olympic gold medal to lead an American one-two finish in skeet shooting.
Hancock beat his fellow countryman Conner Prince by one point in the event that went to a shoot off to decide the gold medal.
Hancock has now won four of the last five medals in the men's skeet shooting event. He won his first gold in Beijing in 2008 and also won in London and Tokyo.
According to NBC Sports' Nick Zaccardi, Hancock became the sixth athlete to win the same individual event four times. Americans Michael Phelps, Carl Lewis and Al Oerter are on that list. Katie Ledecky can join them with a win in the women's 800-meter freestyle on Saturday afternoon.
The United States now has gold medals in five different sports. Hancock's win produced the 10th gold in Paris for Team USA.
