Olympic Men's Tennis 2024 Final Bracket: Live Stream for Djokovic vs. Alcaraz

Nicholas NathansonAug 3, 2024

On Friday, Novak Djokovic defeated Lorenzo Musetti to reach his first Olympic final.

The 37-year-old is hoping to become the oldest Olympic champion but will face a tough test in Carlos Alcaraz.

The fiery youngster has become the 24-time Grand Slam champion's kryptonite, defeating him in the Wimbledon final two straight years (2023–2024).

While neither player has dropped a set in their Olympic campaign, Alcaraz enters with much better form after limiting Felix Auger-Aliassime to just two total games in their semifinal match.

However, Djokovic is still searching for his first Olympic gold, and this is likely his last shot.

You can find answers to all of Sunday's questions below, from match times to what to expect.

Date: Sunday, August 4

Start time: TBD, following women's doubles bronze medal match (6 a.m. ET).

Men’s Final Preview & Prediction

The 2024 Wimbledon final is likely still fresh in Djokovic's mind.

After all, it was perhaps one of his last chances at a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title.

Despite the opportunity, he lost convincingly in straight sets.

On Sunday, while a Grand Slam title is not at stake, an Olympic gold is—something the 37-year-old has been desperately searching for his whole career.

While Djokovic has always been capable of winning on the biggest stage, this year has proved to be an anomaly of sorts for him.

In fact, it's just the first time since 2017 that he's failed to win a Grand Slam title in the year's first three majors.

Logically, it is never a wise move to count out the top seed, but logic hasn't met Alcaraz, who is currently performing at the highest level in men's tennis.

Djokovic can make things close and will likely grab a set, but in the end, it should be the 21-year-old whose incredible summer, laden with titles, continues.
