Flag football will be part of the Summer Olympics for the first time in 2028.
Details on how the Olympic version of the sport will look are still being developed. We know it will be a 5-on-5 competition on a 50-yard field without offensive linemen, but it's unclear if past or current pros will be allowed to take part.
The United States should have a seismic advantage regardless, and even more so if players like Rodgers and Adams are allowed to participate. It's unlikely any active NFL players will wind up part of the team, but Rodgers and Adams could both be out of the league four years from now.
Rodgers and Adams were teammates in Green Bay from 2014 to 2021, forming one of the NFL's best QB-WR connections. Adams requested a trade ahead of the 2022 season and was dealt to the Las Vegas Raiders—one year before Rodgers demanded his own trade to the New York Jets.
While there has been speculation of Adams joining Rodgers with the Jets, that does not appear to have any realistic chance of happening. The Raiders don't want to give up their top wideout, and the Jets are committed to Garrett Wilson as their WR1.
That said, things could get awfully interesting come 2028.
