Novak Djokovic Reaches Fourth Career Olympic Quarterfinal
2 of 2
Novak Djokovic is through to the quarterfinal round of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Despite needing a tiebreaker to win the first set, the Serbian was able to utilize his signature defense and impressive net play to take advantage of Dominik Koepfer as rallies intensified.
The top seed remains a strong contender to hoist Olympic gold, though he will need to improve on his second serve, especially as the draw tightens.
Next up, Djokovic will face Stefanos Tsitsipas, whom he has defeated 11 out of 13 times and is 5-0 against on clay.
Barring a significant upset, he should be able to advance to the semifinal round and continue his quest for a first-career Olympic gold medal.
