Video: Nick Sirianni Details Saquon Barkley's Fit with Eagles, Praises RB as Leader
It hasn't taken long for Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni to be impressed by star running back Saquon Barkley.
During an appearance on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Sirianni gushed about his rival-turned-pupil, as Barkley joined the Eagles this offseason after spending the first six years of his career with the New York Giants.
"So excited to have him. He's one of the guys that's working the hardest out there, and we're so excited that he's on our football team," Sirianni said around the 1:55 mark.

Sirianni said he expects Barkley's presence to take pressure off Philadelphia's potent passing attack led by star quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. However, he praised Barkley just as much for what he's brought to the Eagles off the field as for his contributions on it.
"Just as a person, as a teammate, as a leader, he brings so much and he fits in so well with the guys," Sirianni said. "I'm really excited that he's an Eagle and we get his leadership and his play on our field."
Sirianni is hoping that Barkley helps the Eagles make it back to the Super Bowl for the second time in three years following the team's disappointing finish to the 2023 campaign in which it lost five of its last six games and was eliminated from the playoffs in the NFC Wild Card Round.
