Video: Simone Biles Nicknames USA Olympic Gymnastics Team 'F Around and Find Out'
A new entry can be added to the long list of iconic nicknames for the USA Olympics gymnastics team.
After helping lead Team USA to a gold medal in Tuesday's team final at the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles revealed that this year's team has been dubbed "F Around And Find Out."
Biles later posted on X that the team's true official nickname is "golden girls."
Team USA finished with an overall score of 171.296, blowing past Italy (165.494) and Brazil (164.497). It was their third gold medal in their last four trips to the Summer Games, avenging a silver-medal finish in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Biles was joined on the team by Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee and Hezly Rivera. It's her eighth career Olympic gold medal, making her the most decorated gymnast in Team USA history. She owns five golds, one silver and two bronzes.
The win was especially meaningful for Biles after she was forced to withdraw from the Tokyo Olympics due to a need to address her mental health amid a case of the "twisties." She also overcame an apparent calf injury that bothered her during the qualifying rounds to return to the top.
Biles helped seal the victory for Team USA with a 14.666 in the floor exercise, an event that she has famously dominated. After her routine, she triumphantly raised the No. 1 in the air before celebrating with her teammates.
Biles will look to add more hardware to her mantle when she competes in the women's individual all-around final on Thursday.
