Madden 25 Player Ratings: Chris Jones, Dexter Lawrence II and Top 10 DL

99 Club stalwart Aaron Donald has retired, leaving a major gap at the top of the Madden ratings for defensive linemen.

Luckily, Chris Jones and Dexter Lawrence II are there to pick up the slack.

Jones and Lawrence lead the top 10 defensive linemen for the launch of Madden 25, with the remainder of the rankings going as follows:

Jones made his fifth straight Pro Bowl team and was a first-team All-Pro for the second straight season in 2023. He recorded 30 tackles and 10.5 sacks—his third 10-sack season of his career—while serving as the fulcrum for a vastly improved Chiefs defense.

Lawrence, a 2019 first-round pick, has emerged as arguably the NFL's premier nose tackle over the last two seasons. He's been an All-Pro and Pro Bowler in both campaigns, using his 6'4", 340-pound frame to plug up the middle. While it has not resulted in much overall success for the Giants, Lawrence remains one of the franchise's few bright spots.

Williams has likewise been a sensational defensive tackle for the co-tenant Jets as part of otherwise forgettable teams. He set a career high with 62 tackles last season, adding 5.5 sacks on his way to earning a Pro Bowl selection.

Justin Madubuike and Derrick Brown round out a top five loaded with guys in their mid-20s aside from Jones. Lawrence, Williams, Madubuike and Brown are all 26 years old, while Jones turned 30 earlier this month.

No player in the top 10 besides 35-year-old Cameron Heyward is above the age of 30, so these rankings might wind up looking awfully similar for Madden 26.
