Kevin Durant Praises 'Incredible Human Being' Steph Curry at 2024 Summer Olympics

Kevin Durant and Steph Curry spent just three years of their careers together on the Golden State Warriors, but those years produced a pair of championships and one of the best teams in NBA history.

Now playing alongside one another again for Team USA, Durant had nothing but praise for his former teammate.

"We definitely, definitely, definitely did talk about some good times that we had together," Durant told Andscape's Marc J. Spears. "[Curry is] Just an incredible human being. [I'm] Getting to spend some time with him on a deeper level. I'm looking forward to getting to know these dudes on a deeper level already."

Durant and Curry's first time on the same team as the other since Durant's Golden State exit has gone well so far. Team USA won its first Olympic matchup 110-84 against a Nikola Jokić-led Serbia team on Sunday behind a big game from Durant.

The four-time Olympian, who was a game-time decision due to a calf injury, came off the bench and dropped 23 points on 8-of-9 from the field and was perfect from deep. Curry added 11 points in his Olympic debut.

Durant and Curry were one of the most unstoppable duos when they were on the same team in Golden State, and the same duo should be able to help the United States win another gold medal in Paris.
