Red Sox Rumors: Pitchers, RH Hitter Targeted at MLB Trade Deadline; Luis Garcia Eyed
The Boston Red Sox are reportedly looking to make some moves ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline.
Per the New York Post's Jon Heyman, Boston is hoping to add pitchers as well as a right-handed batter.
Heyman noted Los Angeles Angels reliever Luis Garcia as a possible option.

Garcia, who has made 44 appearances this year, has 40 strikeouts, a 3.80 ERA and 1.20 WHIP on his way to a 5-1 record. On Friday, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported that the Angels are expected to trade Garcia, along with right-handed closer Carlos Estévez, so he could be a viable option for Boston.
Like many teams this time of year, the Red Sox could use some bullpen help but are still around the middle of the pack in team ERA at 3.84 this season.
In terms of landing a righty batter, that might not be the biggest need for Boston, but adding one could help slightly as the Red Sox look to make a deep postseason run.
Should Boston deal for a righty, it could give pitchers nightmares with a lineup that would feature lefty Jarren Duran, a new righty, lefty Tyler O'Neill and another lefty in Masataka Yoshida.
The Red Sox have had a surprisingly solid season, sitting in third place in a stacked AL East at 55-47 and currently holding onto the AL wild card.
