Fans have likened Mahomes' voice to the popular Muppet character several times in the past, and he's embraced the comparisons.
"It's me, it's who I am, so I'm never going to be insecure about it," he told reporters during his first season as a starter in 2018. "I'm just going to embrace it and keep going."
Mahomes also took the time to make some jokes of his own regarding the similarities prior to the Chiefs' victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.
While he's embraced the jokes from fans and members of the media, he likely isn't as happy to see them coming from a division rival such as Las Vegas. Mahomes has excelled against the Raiders throughout his career, owning a 10-2 record against them with 30 touchdown passes compared to just four interceptions over 12 games (via Pro Football Reference).
Las Vegas won the last matchup between the two teams, defeating Kansas City by the final score of 20-14 in Week 16 of the 2023 season.
Mahomes could use Thursday's actions as bulletin board material ahead of the next matchup between the two teams in Week 8 of his 2024 campaign.
