The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to add new options to their selection of uniforms for the 2024 season.

On Thursday, the Jags revealed their "shell white" alternate helmets in a social media video and photos, which are a stark contrast to their usual all-black look:

The Jags announced they will debut their "shell white" helmets in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings. George Pellicer, the team's head equipment manager, said his goal was to help create something that the franchise had never done before.

"My favorite element is that it is something completely different than anything we have ever worn," Pellicer told the team's official website. "The Jacksonville Jaguars have always worn some form of black helmets so, this will be a creative twist that we have not done yet."

Thursday's reveal comes a week after Jacksonville unveiled its "Prowler" throwback uniforms as part of the franchise's celebration of its 30th season in the NFL. The throwbacks are based on the Jags' original look when they were added as an expansion team in 1995. The team will debut the look in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts, the same week that it will honor its first head coach Tom Coughlin with an induction into the Pride of the Jaguars.

The Jags are coming off a 9-8 finish to the 2023 campaign, which ended in disappointing fashion after they lost five of their last six games and fell short of the playoffs. The team began training camp this week and will enter the 2024 season with renewed optimism that better results are on the way.

Jacksonville focused on keeping its homegrown talent happy this offseason, signing star quarterback Trevor Lawrence to a five-year contract extension reportedly worth $275 million extension and defensive end Josh Hines-Allen to a reported five-year, $150 million deal.

The Jags will be motivated to make it back to the postseason this year, and they will look good in their new uniforms as they try to achieve their goal.
