Andy Reid Praises Xavier Worthy After Catching Patrick Mahomes' Pass in Viral Video
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had high praise for his rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy after a viral video of the first-round pick catching a pass from Patrick Mahomes.
"He's been working hard. Looks like his hamstring feels better," Reid said at his press conference on Sunday (45-second mark). "We just got to keep him going here and keep learning. We're just one install into it and we've got 12 of them, so he's got a lot more information coming at him, and formations and shifts and motions and all that stuff. He did a nice job today."

In the video from Sunday that has made its rounds on social media, Worthy runs a deep route and brings in an impressive catch on a ball from Mahomes, giving fans an early look at the kind of connection we will see from the two this season.
Worthy, the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, has already given fans plenty to be excited about. The Texas product ran a record time of 4.21 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, showing off his pro-level speed before he was even drafted.
That speed, combined with an impressive few years at Texas, led to Kansas City picking him up in the first round. Now he'll look to help the Chiefs win a third consecutive Super Bowl.
