Jake Paul Responds to 'Scared' Conor McGregor: 'He Can Talk All the F--k He Wants'

Suffice it to say there's no love lost between Conor McGregor and Jake Paul—likely because there was never any love to begin with.

Paul and McGregor exchanged words—albeit not face-to-face—after the YouTuber-turned-boxer knocked out Mike Perry on Saturday.

"He was big upping his boy Mike Perry — I said, 'OK Conor, after I f--k up Mike Perry, then you're next,'" Paul said (3-minute mark). "So Conor's on Twitter all the time. He's on his yacht all the time. Guess where he's not? In the ring, fighting me.

"So he can talk all the f--k he wants, but The Notorious MMA is scared of Jake Joseph Paul from Disney channel. And I put that on my mama."

McGregor went after Paul in a long post on X following the bout:

Paul earned a sixth-round knockout of Perry in an all-around dominating performance. The victory moved Paul to 10-1 with seven knockouts during his boxing career, and he's already setting his sights on championship gold.

"In two years I will be the cruiserweight champion of the f--king world," Paul said. "I'm way sharper, cleaner. I think he hit me with like one shot tonight. ... It's back to the drawing board and I'm going to just keep getting better."

Paul has spent the vast majority of his boxing career fighting against former MMA fighters. Perry competed in the UFC from 2016 to 2021 before signing with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, becoming arguably the biggest face in the promotion.

McGregor, a co-owner of the BKFC, said Perry was "fired" from the promotion after losing to Paul:

"He doesn't f--king have a promotion, because me and him are both owners of BKFC, so he can't fire me," Perry said in response (2-minute mark). "We can fight in bare knuckle. Look at me. I lost to Jake Paul. Why don't you go fight Jake Paul and box him with the gloves on? I think it would be worse than Conor McGregor vs. Mayweather."

It's highly unlikely Paul and McGregor ever wind up fighting in any way beyond words. McGregor is 5'8" and 155 pounds. Paul is 6'1", weighed in at 200 pounds for his fight against Perry and is planning to fight at heavyweight later this year against Mike Tyson.

Barring some unforeseen weight gain from McGregor and a heavy cut from Paul, odds are this rivalry will be fought with quippy quotes and social media posts.
