Travis Kelce Says Chiefs Added 'Unbelievable Talent' in Xavier Worthy, Marquise Brown

Travis Kelce is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs' offseason transactions

The nine-time Pro Bowl tight end spoke about the upcoming Chiefs season during the 2024 American Century Championship and said that the influx of talent will be noticeable as Kansas City looks to three-peat.

"We got Xavier Worthy, we got Marquise Brown, we got some dogs, we got some unbelievable talent," Kelce said. "You've got to revamp the team every year. You've got to re-mold the team."

Kelce elaborated by describing how the Chiefs improved as the 2023 season went on and how he is looking forward to seeing future progress from the team.

"Last year we got better as the season went on," Kelce said. "I'm just excited to get back into the football world. It's been a crazy offseason for me so I'm ready to get back to work."

The Chiefs went 11-6 and earned the No. 3 seed in the AFC in 2023. This came despite some lackluster production from the receivers. Kelce led the team with 984 receiving yards, but it was his first sub-1,000 yard season since 2015. Rashee Rice was next with 938 receiving yards, but no other pass catcher had more than 500 yards.

This didn't stop the Chiefs from repeating as Super Bowl champions, but it did impact the team's offseason direction. Worthy was the first-round pick in 2024, and he had 1,014 yards and five touchdowns for Texas in 2023. He also notably set the NFL Draft Combine's 40-yard dash record.

Brown signed a one-year deal with Kansas City for the 2024 season but brings five years of NFL Experience and 3,644 career receiving yards to the table. He could be a breakout candidate, and will at least add a veteran presence to the position group.

These additions make a dangerous Chiefs offense even more potent and have the team poised to make noise once again.
