NBA 2K25 Reveals Jayson Tatum, A'ja Wilson, Vince Carter Covers and New Features

For the first time ever, NBA and WNBA players will share the cover of NBA2K.

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson were announced as the cover athletes for the NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition. Wilson is the first WNBA player to serve as the cover athlete for a global edition of 2K, and she will also be on the cover of the WNBA edition of the game.

Tatum will be the solo cover athlete for the standard edition of NBA 2K25.

A Hall of Fame edition of NBA 2K25 will also be released, featuring Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Vince Carter on the cover.

Tatum is coming off winning his first NBA championship with the Celtics and recently signed the richest contract in NBA history (five years, $314 million). He has been an All-Star for five straight seasons and been on the All-NBA first team for three straight years.

Wilson is the borderline unquestioned best women's basketball player on the planet. She is the reigning WNBA Finals MVP, a back-to-back champion and has won the last two Defensive Player of the Year awards. Barring any major unforeseen surprises in the second half of the season, Wilson should win her third regular-season MVP as well.

Carter holds the NBA record for most seasons played with 22, a mark that LeBron James will match next season. Over the course of his lengthy career, Carter made eight All-Star teams and played for eight different franchises.

In addition to the cover athletes, 2K Sports announced mode parity will exist between PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the exception of Crossplay support. This will be most beneficial to players on PC platforms.

Players on New-Gen platforms will also get a sixth era of MyNBA and other experiences in their MyCAREER, including a "more compact and interactive City."
