NBA Rumors: Kevin Durant Out at Least 2 Weeks with Calf Injury amid Suns' 8-1 Start
Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant will be reevaluated in two weeks after suffering a left calf strain on Friday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported.
Durant played 37 minutes on Friday in the Suns' 114-113 win over the host Dallas Mavericks.
During the team's scalding 8-1 start, Durant has averaged 27.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 55.3 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three.
Naturally, replacing him the Suns' lineup is near-impossible. The onus will be on Devin Booker and Bradley Beal to pick up more of the usage and scoring slack. As far as replacing his minutes go, Royce O'Neale figures to see more court time at the 4 with KD gone.
The Suns will return to action without Durant on Sunday night against the visiting Sacramento Kings.
