JJ Redick Posts Podcast Farewell Video, Says 'Entire Focus' Will Be Coaching Lakers
JJ Redick is embarking on his new journey as the Los Angeles Lakers' head coach, which means he's saying goodbye to his life as an analyst, notably his role as host of the Old Man & the Three podcast.
And with that, Redick bid farewell to his viewers, noting that he must understandably turn his focus to his new gig.
"My entire focus right now is on coaching the Los Angeles Lakers and making them the best possible team they can be," Redick said.
ThreeFourTwo Productions, which was created by Redick and Tommy Alter, will continue forward.
However, Redick made clear that he will not be part of it as he embarks on a new chapter in his life. In closing, he also showed much gratitude toward everyone he worked with and especially all the viewers who tuned in over the years.
But now a new chapter begins as Redick takes on a unique challenge as the Lakers' head coach. L.A. certainly has the talent to perform better with LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, but the squad only had one playoff win to show for it last year. Redick will obviously look to rectify that in search of the squad's 18th title in franchise history.
