NFL Coach: Christian McCaffrey is 'Exactly How You Would Draw Up a Football Player'
Christian McCaffrey may be the standard that NFL teams look for from the next generation.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that McCaffrey's talent has entranced coaches around the NFL and that he is the player that every team would want for their roster.
"He does everything exceptionally," a veteran NFL offensive coach who has coached McCaffrey told Fowler. "Explosiveness, vision, technique, versatility, great teammate, hardest worker, dedicated in the offseason. The only thing holding him back was when he was hurt. But he's exactly how you would draw up a football player."

Fowler acknowledged that a knock on McCaffrey could be his injury history, but that hasn't plagued him during his time with the San Francisco 49ers. His 2023 season defines this, as he 1,459 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 564 yards and seven touchdowns in the receiving game.
These efforts earned him the Offensive Player of the Year Award, a first-team All-Pro selection and his fifth Pro Bowl nod. He helped lead the 49ers to a 12-5 record and a Super Bowl LVIII berth.
The 49ers would fall 25-22 to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime, but they should be a formidable force in the NFC once again next season. San Francisco will return McCaffrey, quarterback Brock Purdy, wide receiver Deebo Samuel and hopefully wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk for another go at a Super Bowl title.
