Before Armando Bacot established himself as a legend at North Carolina, he had an allegiance to the school's biggest rival.
While speaking to fellow UNC Theo Pinson on the Run Your Race podcast, Bacot revealed that he grew up as "a diehard Duke fan" and he "hated" the Tar Heels:

Despite his hatred for North Carolina, Bacot committed to the school in 2019 and went on to become one of the best centers to suit up for the team. Over his five-year tenure with the Tar Heels, he set the program records for career rebounds and double-doubles while appearing in 171 games, the most in school history.
After going undrafted last week, Bacot signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Utah Jazz. He will be trying to prove himself worthy of a roster spot during the summer league.
