McLaughlin-Levrone will now travel to Paris to compete in the 400-meter hurdles once again. At the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, she won gold in the event while also helping the United States earn gold in the 4x400-meter relay.

McLaughlin-Levrone broke her own world record in the 400-meter hurdles on Sunday, marking the fifth world record she has broken in three years. She was also the first woman to break the 52- and 51-second marks in the 400-meter hurdles.

Along with McLaughlin-Levrone, Anna Cockrell and Jasmine Jones will represent the United States in the 400-meter hurdles after finishing in second and third, respectively. Cockrell recorded a personal best at Sunday's time trials, finishing with a time of 52.64.

McLaughlin-Levrone will be competing in her third Olympics when she travels to Paris next month. In 2016, she became the youngest athlete to make the United States Olympic track team since 1980 at just 17 years old.

She didn't bring home a medal in her first Olympics, but she impressed in Tokyo to solidify herself as an Olympic star. She'll look to continue shining in Paris.
