Knicks Rumors: OG Anunoby Plans to Sign 5-Year, $212.5M Contract After Bridges Trade
OG Anunoby intends to sign a five-year, $212.5 million contract to return to the New York Knicks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The news comes one day after New York acquired Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets for a package that included Bojan Bogdanović.

Knicks Fans Trample JR Smith 😳
The Knicks acquired Anunoby in a trade with the Toronto Raptors midway through last season. The Indiana product averaged 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists after the trade, emerging as a vital three-and-D fixture in Tom Thibodeau's rotation.
While Anunoby's counting stats do not lend themselves to the lavish contract he landed, the Knicks had little recourse. Anunoby was expected to have a strong market featuring several teams that saw him as a potential missing piece to their roster, and the Knicks would not have had any avenues to replace him had he left.
With Anunoby's deal reportedly in place, New York can now turn its attention elsewhere. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle are both in line for new deals and major raises.
