NFL Rumors: Jaguars Could Play Up to 3 London Games in 2027 During Stadium Renovation

The Jacksonville Jaguars might spend quite a bit of time overseas during the 2027 season.

According to the terms of new stadium legislation that City Council will vote on, the Jaguars would have the option of playing "up to three" of their home games in London during the 2027 season as renovations to EverBank Stadium will be underway (h/t David Bauerlein of the Florida Times-Union).

Per Bauerlein, Jackonville is also considering the Camping World Stadium in Orlando as well as Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at the University of Florida as possible sites.

The Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville announced the stadium renovation agreement as well as a 30-year lease on May 14. The $1.4 billion deal represented the largest public infrastructure investment in Jacksonville history.

The team is familiar with playing in London, appearing in 11 games since the Jaguars' Europe debut in 2013. They're set to travel across the pond for multiple contests during the 2024 season, facing off against the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 13 before playing the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 20.

Although the Jaguars are comfortable with playing overseas, team president Mark Lamping said on Thursday that he's "almost certain" the 2027 home games will take place at Camping World Stadium or Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (via Bauerlein).

The team was originally set to eliminate all home games at EverBank Stadium in both 2026 and 2027 so that construction would be completed by 2028, although the Jaguars and Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan agreed that home games would still be possible in 2026 with reduced seating.

The Jaguars will attempt to return to the playoffs in 2024 led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who received a five-year contract extension worth $275 million on June 13.
