Elite 11 Finals 2024 Results: Alabama Commit Keelon Russell Wins MVP Among Finalists

The Elite 11 high school quarterback competition came to a close on Thursday, with Alabama commit Keelon Russell getting named the 2024 MVP.

Russell was one of several top quarterback prospects in the 2025 recruiting class participating in the competition, which spanned three days. The Texas native showcased his arm talent throughout the event, emerging as the MVP after he entered the final day at No. 2 in the Elite 11 rankings.

"This process is just the beginning we are headed for plenty of more down the road," Russell wrote in a post on X following the competition.

The future Crimson Tide signal-caller became the first Alabama quarterback since Tua Tagovailoa to win the award (h/t Hayes Fawcett of On3.com). The MVP of the competition usually has a bright future ahead of them, with reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud and 2024 No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams both earning the honor in past years.

Russell was far from the only signal-caller to stand out at the competition, as Ohio State commit Tavien St. Clair also made a strong impression. The five-star prospect was the winner of Wednesday night's accuracy challenge, showing why he's the No. 3 quarterback in the 2025 class (per 247Sports' composite rankings).

USC commit Julian Lewis also performed admirably, taking home the Pro Day title at the competition while completing 14 of his 18 throws with three touchdowns during 7-on-7 work (h/t Charles Power of On3.com).

Lewis is also a five-star prospect who ranks as the No. 2 quarterback and No. 9 overall player in the 2025 class (via 247Sports composite).

While the 20 quarterbacks that reached the Finals all gave a commendable effort, Russell ultimately emerged from the competition with the top honor.
