Florida State is the final ACC school standing after eliminating North Carolina on Tuesday.

The Seminoles (48-15) were led by their bats, namely leadoff hitter Max Williams (3-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and one run) and catcher Jaxson West (4-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and a walk).

Florida State used a big top of the fifth to jump out to a 7-1 lead, though the Tar Heels (47-15) quickly countered with four runs of their own in the bottom of the frame, fueled by Vance Honeycutt's three-run homer.

But the Seminoles kept them at bay, adding two more runs in the top of the ninth behind homers from West and Williams.

Connor Hults got the win for Florida State, pitching the final 4.1 innings of the game while allowing just two hits, a walk and no runs while striking out two. North Carolina's Aidan Hulgh (2.1 innings, two hits, three runs, three walks, three strikeouts) took the loss.

Florida State now needs to beat Tennessee twice to advance to the CWS Finals, with the first game scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET and the second game, if necessary, on Thursday. Tennessee would advance with either a win on Wednesday or a win on Thursday.
