Projecting Most Likely Heel and Face Turns at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024
Clash at the Castle 2024 will be the biggest show WWE has brought to Glasgow, Scotland, and WWE needs to give a great crowd a special event at the OVO Hydro.
The card promises major championship clashes including Scotland's Drew McIntyre fighting Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship and Cody Rhodes facing AJ Styles in an "I Quit" match.
This show could deliver special moments, especially with some interesting turns teased on the road to the premium live event.
From Gable pushing Alpha Academy and The Creed Brothers toward the dark side to constant Judgment Day drama featuring Dominik Mysterio and Finn Bálor, big opportunities are present.
The following are the most likely heel and face turns for WWE's next PLE on Saturday.
Heel: The Creed Brothers
1 of 4No one is hotter in WWE right now than Chad Gable. His work with Sami Zayn and Alpha Academy is the best story in the company and Raw's hottest angle.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Gable is expected to re-sign soon with WWE if he has not already. After all he has done since WrestleMania 40, he should win the Intercontinental Championship.
However, in order to make it to the top, he needs help. Otis will not play the key difference-maker for the Olympian again, so another wrestler needs to step up. Perhaps it should be a team.
While the build has been developed in the background so far, The Creed Brothers have shown a willingness to help the Alpha Academy leader in spite of his vile words and actions.
Julius and Brutus Creed need direction. Gable can give them that as long as they show they can be valuable.
Helping him win the IC title would be a strong start.
Face: Damian Priest
2 of 4Damian Priest has teased a babyface turn for upward of a year because WWE has consistently leaned into The Judgment Day's uneasy foundations.
Finn Bálor and The Archer of Infamy cannot get on the same page as the top men in the stable.
While Priest has taken a firm stance as leader in Rhea Ripley's absence for the moment, Liv Morgan has poked holes in The Judgment Day's foundations over the past couple weeks.
If she turns Dominik Mysterio, she could push The Prince and JD McDonagh to work against Priest as well.
At the end of the world heavyweight champion's last title defense against Jey Uso, he did not look happy with Bálor and McDonagh's assistance or post-match beatdown on his opponent.
The involvement of The Judgment Day in Priest's title match on Saturday could completely change the stable. The group could cost Priest his gold or help him.
Even if Priest retains, Bálor could use the spotlight to make a statement and attack his stablemate, turning The Judgment Day against its stand-in leader.
The possibility is real, but this story has teased this turn for so long. Nothing is a certainty.
Face: Piper Niven
3 of 4Piper Niven has waited for her moment in WWE too long. She has been officially signed with the company for five years and only has one WWE Women's Tag Team Championship reign to show for it.
As one of the most talented female powerhouse wrestlers in the company, she could go on a run with the right story behind her.
This could begin at Clash at the Castle. Niven is competing for the WWE Women's Championship in her home country, and she will receive a massive crowd reception ahead of her match with Bayley.
While Niven is unlikely to win, she could ride the wave of the Scottish crowd to turn babyface, walking away from Chelsea Green after giving The Role Model respect.
This could be the spot for Niven to rise up the ranks and eventually earn another title match where she can capture singles gold.
Heel: Natalya
4 of 4Natalya first signed with WWE in 2007. Her entire career is defined by her longevity and consistency. She is the ultimate team player for WWE and been rewarded for it.
However, time is running out for The BOAT to work at the top of the business. Multiple generations of women's wrestlers have passed her by.
If she wants to deliver one last memorable run at the top, she needs to make a change as she has teased recently.
Sonya Deville has pushed Natalya toward this change, but it is unclear what The BOAT will do to solidify herself as a top star again.
The most likely answer is a dramatic heel turn.
How does this affect Clash at the Castle? Deville also offered help to Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, who teased that they needed a change.
WWE could make a unique statement with Natalya and Deville aligning with Baszler and Stark as a dominant heel stable, perhaps helping the duo win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
