Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić was trolled by a young Boston Celtics fan ahead of Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals.

After asking for a selfie with Dončić, the young fan said, "Thank you."

He added: "It's still Celtics in four, though. You know it's Celtics in four."

The Celtics defeated the Mavericks 107-89 Thursday in Game 1 of the Finals.

Dončić led Dallas with 30 points and 10 rebounds, but was unable to overcome a Celtics effort led by his former Mavericks teammate Kristaps Porziņģis.

Porziņģis said Saturday that the Mavericks "expect a big response" from Dončić in Game 2, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

"He's one of the best players and he's going to bring it so we have to be ready," Porziņģis said about Dončić.

Dončić was listed as questionable prior to Sunday night's game due to a thoracic contusion but was cleared to play before the contest.

The young Boston fan will have to hope he didn't add extra fuel to Dončić's motivation as the Mavericks' leading scorer looks to tie the series at one game apiece.
